Elephant Talk is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation that leverages
decades of corporate leadership experience to support the most relevant
needs of our community and the nonprofit organizations that support
this community.
Today, we are focusing
on two of the most critical needs of our Colorado community – food
and emotional well-being. For example:
1. We are working to
build upon the quality and sustainability of the food bank
system. This is necessary
to meet the nutritional needs of the rapidly increasing numbers
of families – families that have been an active part
of the work force – but for the first time – find
themselves needing a hand up. To do that, we are building
contractual relationships with food producers (farmers and
ranchers) and
manufacturers in order to augment the volume and variety
of food required for the existing food bank network. To learn
more click here.
2. We are working to
provide a safe place for struggling individuals to meet,
talk and network. Unemployment
and financial struggle is exasperated by a sense of isolation
and nowhere to turn. Using experienced facilitators, Elephant
Talk will bring together those in “need” and
those that can help to create an environment of hope and
resources
that can make a difference. To learn more click

Elephant Talk strives to provide a unified community that stands
together during these difficult times. That includes creating
great understanding and compassion; building neighborhood activism
of “getting
involved to care for our neighbors”; and, providing the
food banks adequate food so that no child goes to bed hungry
and
under-nourished.
